SimDis Analyzer

JAS SimDis Analyzer

Simulated Distillation (SimDis) based on gas chromatography is one of the most common used analysis techniques in the petrochemical industry. A SimDis report gives valuable information on the boiling point distribution of crude oils and petroleum feeds. This information is essential for refinery engineers to determine the most efficient way to operate and control the distillation process. Therefore a good, robust and reliable SimDis analyzer is an essential tool for the optimal (and economical!) operation of a refinery unit.

Many different methods have been standardized for oil samples with different final boiling points. These methods sometimes require different columns, different analytical parameters and reference samples.

Because of this, the JAS SimDis Analyzer can be configured for each of the following methods: ASTM D2887, D3710, D5399, D6352, D6417, D7096, D7169, D7213 (= D2887 Extended), D7398, D7500 and others.

The Facts

UNIS 3100 HT

The JAS SimDis Analyzer can be equipped with the UNIS 3100 HT PTV inlet, or UNIS HT SimDis (CoC) and patented SimDis liner, depending on the requirements in the particular method.

Both injectors are temperature programmable up to 500 °C!

Each JAS SimDis Analyzer is fully tested according to the requested method, and including the JAS SimDis Software. This plugin software is fully integrated in the Agilent Technologies Software.

The Options

JAS has a unique option available to adapt and extend the JAS SimDis Analyzer to your specific application(s):

The AED III  - Atomic Emission Detector

This recently redesigned detector, with improved properties and new features, allows you to perform a multi element SimDis analysis in one run: Data for Carbon, Sulfur and Nitrogen in one single report!
