Volatiles Preconcentrator 7100A
The 7100A preconcentrates low level samples to allow detection of PPB and sub-PPB volatile chemicals. The 7100A is fully automated and utilizes three stages to concentrate the sample, eliminate matrix components, then focus the sample to produce a rapid injection onto a capillary GC or GCMS system. The extended temperature range of heated zones allows recovery of hydrocarbons in the range of C2-C15. Autosamplers are available for automated analysis of canisters, Tedlar® bags and Bottle-Vacs™. Thermal desorption tubes can be run directly with the 7100-01 option or preferably by first desorbing into a MiniCan™ or Bottle-Vac™ using the 5400 th-ermal Transfer System.
Is the most sophisticated sample concentration technology available for the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds in air, soil gas, vapor intrusion or any other gas phase matrices.
Features
- Unique 3-Stage System For recovery of an extended range of compound classes.
- Supports Multiple Sample Preparation and Matrix Management Techniques
- Silonite® Coated Inlet Lines Ultra-inert flowpaths for recovery of reactive compounds.
- Autosampling Options Available Use a small built in autosampler or configure to interface with an autosampler such as the 7016CA-2 or 7032 to extend analysis capabilities.
Flow Diagram & Connections
The 7100A has a built-in rotary stream select valve that allows for the analysis of up to four samples without an autosampler, or the connection of up to three different autosamplers simultaneously through one of the sample inlets S1-S4. Although it can be used for headspace analysis, the primary purpose of the 7100A is for non-saturated gas phase samples.
