Two Column Interface for GC-MSD

Two Column Interface fo GC-MSD Systems - overview
TCI for MSD

The Mass Spectrometer Detector (MSD) is a unique GC detector because it operates in a vacuum. Unlike conventional GC detectors and differentially pumped mass spectrometers, changing the GC column on an MSD usually requires shut down of the system, this procedure allows the unit to cool down and vent. After column installation, pump down procedure is started, which takes approximately four hours before the MSD is in a stable vacuum and ready for analysis.

With the jas Two Column Interface you can totally eliminate these time consuming processes.

Advantages:

Two Column Interface for GC-MSD Systems - installed
UNIS™ -TCI for GC

  • The provides the capability to have two separate columns for different analysis installed on a single MSD
  • The makes changing from one installed column to the other fast and easy and totally eliminates turning off your MSD and re-create the vacuum
  • Switching from one channel (column) to the other can be done unattended and totally automated by the ChemStation
  • The increases your productivity and throughput by doubling the number of columns in the MSD
