The EzPrep is the ideal GC Solution for automatically collecting, purifying and isolating from trace levels to large volumes of components in a complex sample mixture.
The sample is injected into the gas chromatograph using a injector and separated by a capillary column, a Megabore column or a packed column. As the compounds elute from the column they are detected by a TCD and send to a trap for collection or split between a FID and a trapping vessel, depending on the detector of choice.
The peaks of interest are diverted to the temperature-controlled traps, using a sample distribution device and the retention time of the analytes. The entire process is controlled by a PrepLab software, which is totally embedded into the Agilent ChemStation. After the components have been separated from the sample matrix, the user can analyze the isolated compounds by other analytical techniques such as AED, MSD, NMR and UV-Visible.

Combined Use:
The EzPrep can be combined with an Agilent Technologies MSD for structur determination and a SniffPort or an Olfactory Detector to olfactometrically identify on the fly, mark and cut peaks of interest while sniffing.
