Cryo Trap for GC

jas Cryo Trap

Product Informations

The is a fully integrated, quality product with the latest advances in Cryo Trap technology

The can also be mounted outside the oven and connected to a second GC for Multi Dimensional GC applications with the use of an optional heated transfer line.

The Cryo Trap is provided for use with the Agilen 7890/6890 GC. It is designed to efficiently trap eluents from a capillary GC separation with the use of appropriate cryogens to cool the trap, and then to re-vaporize the trapped compounds for subsequent capillary GC separation using rapid but controlled heating of the trapping zone. The device can be located inside the GC oven either at the left hand side or below the valve cabinet. It uses one heated zone (150W) and one pneumatic inlet slot of the GC. This device can be controlled from either the ChemStation or the GC keyboard. The control software is embedded into the Agilent ChemStation software.

Features

Flexible The Cryo Trap can be installed in three different oven locations. Additionally, thru different cooling options, liquid Carbon Dioxide, liquid Nitrogen and compressed air provide complete flexibility to meet your needs.
Efficient Dedicated and optimized Cryo Trap body provides excellent performance at any oven temperature.
Easy to Use The Cryo Trap Tulls integrated into the GC and controlled by the Agilent ChemStation software or the GC keyboard.

Economical The very efficient double chamber Cryo Trap design reduces the coolant consumption to a minimum.

Specifications

Using liquid nitrogen as coolant a dewar vessel with a dip tube is required (minimum 1 bar head pressure for full performance mandatory). Using liquid carbon dioxide as coolant a cylinder with a dip tube and a variable restriction is required. Using compressed air 6 bar min. pressure is recommended

A Column is guided through the Cryo Trap. The components eluting from a capillary GC separation are trapped with the use of appropriate cryogens and then are re-vaporized for subsequent capillary GC separation using rapid but controlled heating of the trapping zone.
