Genend continues to grow
MOERS (rp) This Thursday, the company joint analytical systems GmbH (jas), an internationally operating company active in the market of developing products for and supplying the Chemical industry, has officially inaugurated the new corporate building on the one Hectare property. The newly constructed building with its 2500m³ office and laboratory space offers enough space for the currently 42 employees. The company invested around 2,5 million Euro.
The course is set for growth: moving to the new building, the company sets the course for growth: it is planed to increase the number of employees to a total of 75 to 80 in the upcoming three years. “According to our strategy we also want to increase the number of apprentices. Currently we have seven apprentices. At the new and much bigger company site we want to give 12 to 15 apprentices a vocational perspective, especially in the IT-sector”, said jas CEO Joachim Gerstel during the inauguration. In this regard he wants to enlarge his activities in the “Mobile Communication düster” (initiated by wir4) as well as in the existing network in future.
The company develops and produces specialty equipment for the markets of chromatography and spectrography. The customer list includes the entire Chemical industry. Companies such as Bayer, BASF, Henkel or Du-Pont. The consolidated annual turnover 2005 added up to around 20 million US Dollar. This good operative result shall be exceeded in the upcoming years. “To do so the new location was a cornerstone. For this year we aim to increase the number of employees to 50+. Operational wise this may be the most difficult step in a company’s history”, describes Mr. Gerstel the challenge for the current year.
